I just read on Faysal Qureshi’s twit that legendary actor Rizwan Wasti passed away over the weekend. is it true??
I am shocked that there is NO news updates about this tragedy. the whole media is crying over veena malik… but no news of this great loss!!!

true... Rizwan wasti was one of the most decent and knowledgeable actors we had. it is still highly disappointing to see our so called patriotic media not flashing this news. not even news papers. :(:(
May Allah grant his wife Tahira Wasti sabr specially since thr daughtr (I forget her name right now) is suffering frm throat cancer according to Faisal Qureshi in one of his recnt shows.
He was very versatile and polished actor and a decent human being.
I do not remember if he played a central or pivotal role in any , drama , soap or movie. Did he ?
****KARACHI: Television and film actor and presenter Syed Rizwan Wasti, 74, passed away on Monday after suffering a brain haemorrhage.
Wasti did his Bachelor’s of Law from SM Law College but he chose a career in radio as an English newscaster.
He entered the broadcast media at the age of sixteen, making made him the youngest newscaster of the sub-continent.
After serving Radio Pakistan for sixteen years, he joined the National Bank of Pakistan and took retirement as vice president of the bank in 1996.
In his acting career, he played his first role as Judge Akhtar Husain in a Pakistan Television soap Shama. Wasti played different roles in more than 200 plays including *Afshan, Shaheen, Khuda ki Basti *and Tabeer. He also worked in a movie named “Insaf our Qanoon” with Mohammad Ali and Zeba.
His son, Adnan Wasti, said his father had also written two books. He wrote a book titled “Sher Shah Suri” on the Afghan general and also wrote his own book of poems, “A chorus of echoes”.
Wasti was laid to rest at the Gizri graveyard, DHA and he is survived by his wife and three children. The soyem will take place at his Khayaban-e-Shujaat residence.
He had a beautiful, booming voice and his Urdu and English diction was very elegant.
Sorry to hear about his demise. This is a talented family. Also sorry to hear about his daughter's ( Laila Waasti ) illness.

khalil he never played any main roles. he was more of a side actor. i'll see if i can find any clip of his acting.

no i dont think so either. he was always the side lead or did guest appearances.
