Riyadh

Could you tellme what life is like for pakistani families in riyadh?

  • Are there any desi restaurants?
  • Desi grocery stores
  • Desi Clothes shops
  • Satellite TV provider for desi channels

Are there many Pakistanis living in Oasis Village (Al Hamara) and is there a mosque in the compound?

Help appreciated

Re: Riyadh

-plenty: lahori khaba, others i cant think of them but there are enough

  • theres grocery stores like panda ,othaim and hyper markets and you can find pretty much everything
  • there are a few but they mostly suck. They are expensive plus the clothes arent that good.
-you can get a pehla connection (it has a few channels) .We have this satellite that encrypts from the internet( dont know whats it called) there are plenty of channels (1000 so)

Re: Riyadh

dont worry mate, life is not very difficult there. you will get almost every thing you need. Your wife might have a problem as there is no freedom to drive on roads. Inside compounds, yes she can :-). I dont live there but generally, young people in late 20ies or early 30ies find it a sort of boring place. Though over all, they dont call it bad.
