i see your point but firstly, it's not an issue of whether this is the right or wrong chat for me to be in...heck, maybe i AM in the wrong kind of chat but my point was completely taken out of context so that's why I was trying to explain myself. however, i do agree with you 100%...as i have heard it numerous times too...that "the grass is always greener on the other side." actually, i am enjoying being single very much right now but sometimes when all your friends start tying the knot, you kind of begin to feel left out. maybe this is natural. anyway, enough on this topic! at least i've clarified myself:)))

Yes its natural to see and get a bit depressed when friends get married.. I have a cousin here who is a doctor and her family are now facing that too..but ur not late but dont refuse any good offer ..
Degas, thanks for the vote of confidence:) I'll be ok. One of my circle of friends had her wedding just this past weekend so it's still fresh for me...but I pray for the best for her. I am at work currently and I love this site...I feel like I have silent "friends" in you all here while I'm at work. Degas, is your cousin in NJ??? Maybe I know her...I do know quite a few Pakistani doctors-females.

You know despite what Moona says she wants in her friend for life (thats the way I see marriage anyway), I have to give her a lot of credit for actually putting a post in here about herself and suggesting that she would like to meet someone and get married. I have tonnes of friends who would never do that just cause it is taken in our society so negatively .. meaning that the person is either desperate or lacking something and can not get a guy/gal by normal means - which is a load of crap. I for one think that is a big shortcoming of our culture that we are not willing to confront. A similar think applies to the mosque setup where parents do not want thier kids to talk to kids of the other gender but then complain that thier kids want to marry non-desi or non-muslim people.
So Moona, I wish you the best and hope you find a wonderful person for yourself.

thank you FINALLY for understanding, hmcq. look everybody, all i'm saying here is that i seek a mate pretty much like myself for the most part with subtle differences, i guess. no,i am not desperate or anything but hey, if there is someone out there who may read this post or who knows of someone, well then, i'm open to that too. recently an aunti-type said "are they blind" about guys after she asked me if i was married. that made me feel good as it usually does but it still boils down to the fact that i am scared...scared of the kinds of guys out there...they don't have too much to offer unfortunately...they're all like blah!...the good ones must be hiding somewhere! come out come out wherever you are!
