Funny u say dat, im married n my rishta did cum throo my mom... as it happens, my hubby was lookin out for rishteh n happened to spot me by chance when he came to talk to my mum bout potential rishtas....he obviously fell in love at first sight (like u do when u see an innocent luking gal..lol) n decided dat he would b frank n ask my hand for marriage there n then, same day.. saying to my mum 'aunti ji, forget all these rishteh you have, how bout ur daughter?'... u can imagine my mum was gobsmacked... lol - n when she told me later what happened i thought his a bit crazy.. but one thing lead to another n we met, clicked, so got to kno one another, n ended up hitched soon after... funny, isnt it? love hits u when u least xpect it... so u should always go wid d flow...

Good idea.. lot of ppl do actually cum to my mum for dat rason - to act as third party n contact their parents to suggest a 'potential' rishtah... dat way everyones happy..

btw i think there r other better methods to find a spouse then gion to some rondom auntie ..compleet stranger…its sounds soooooo odd to ma ears…i mean why nt begin by yr immidiate family members,friends… ask them if they know some1 …i mean they could most probably give u some background information which can be trusted …

Good one! i agree - only ppl who r serious bout d topic should post here - bcos for ppl who think its a waste of time they r on d wrong thread....
Btw, i would like to point out that there is nothing sad or desperate about ppl wanting to find a suitable rishtah - d ppl who have posted on this thread must hav already tried all obvious avenues (family,friends, etc) and obviously havent had much joy... that is where u seek d help from others who have more contacts - at d end of d day, u dont wnt to jus grab d first rishtah dat cums your way... most ppl (sensible/sane ppl dat is) want to really keep their options open and explore all possible avenues to see wat kinds of rishteh r available - n i dont see anything wrong in dat - after all it's all bout looking after No1 (urself) - and ensuring u have not rushed into anything - so plz ppl who r not interested in this topic, let us be.... thanQ
