^ i agree that it’s a ridiculous situation, but people are curious to know islamic rulings surrounding the nikkah, especially the process of getting the girls consent because for some girls it does happen under pressure and unusual circumstances. islam’s purpose is to guide us on the straight path and if someone is curious to know about a certain ruling, it doesn’t mean they don’t care about other issues in society…

AFAIK if the woman says YES or signs the document herself (even if forced to do so) then nikah is established.

So, if a woman doesn’t want to marry somebody, she should not say YES or sign the document at any cost.
