I can’t believe responses to this thread. Lift weights, get toned to get married. As if it were all a very noble thing. It’s good to be healthy, but wow here it sounds more like vanity.
Also, here in the US people brought up here mostly look for spouses brought up here as well.

There’s a pretty small population of desis here though. Depending on where you live, obviously in the bigger cities, there is an abundance of desis but then you have language, subculture, only muslims…and that narrows it down to not too many. I’ve been to so many youth conventions and it was pointless because it only happens for a select few and you have to keep in touch with the guy but then the guy might be speaking with 10 other girls including ones that were not foreign raised other than you and then you keep hope that something will click between the two of you. I think only a select few are able to find compatible life partners that are also foreign raised. There isn’t a huge selection of potentials.
