Is it a red flag when a person looking for a rishta requires that you give him a picture (not unusual) but also a written birth date. Apparently this guy that is looking is well off in terms of wealth, has good looks and a height to his advantage…but is really insistent on that the age of the suggested woman be young. When he was suggested two girls (one was 24 complete with her education, and the other 19 who was still getting educated, he wanted the 19 year old to be checked out first…) He hasn’t met both of them…He himself is late twenties…

What does this reflect about him aside from personal preference? Just found the age requirement awkward? Stay away from him??

If he’s absolutely insistent on it I’d stay away.. prob future control freak.. these guys will only marry girls a certain age cos they are sure they’ll be able to mould them and think the girls can’t ‘answer back’ or give them too much hassle.. Preferring a 19yr-old who hasn’t finished her education is a bit worrying.. Nothing wrong with personal preference but insisting on the girl being young is a red flag imo

10-ish year gap might have been normal in our parents’ generation but nowadays I would have thought it’s considered a bit much unless the guy wants the sort of relationship where rather than being partners he is the one who is going to be firmly in control..
