Marriages are basically contracts. So you could put up an ad online saying that you're gay and you want to marry a muslim lesbian. Since she'd be in a similar situation, you guys could develop an understanding and live together as friends. That way you'd be honest with the girl, she'll be happy, you'll be happy, your family will be happy that you've married a girl and without saying anything you can just let them assume that ur straight :)

Long time lurker first time poster here, finally had a question to ask. My mom has been arranging rishtas for me and I rejected all 3 and now my Bhabi is setting up a rishta date for me. All the girls were really really really nice :) but I don't feel attraction for girls.

I'm gay.

Please don't get into religious mumbo jumbo, I understand religion. I don't contemplate being with another man, but I do feel attracted to men. I'm really scared about telling my ami/abu/family about my sexuality. Abu is really suspicious cuz when I was younger I used to handout exclusively with girls and was really feminine. I'm scared of how they will react and stuff uggghh :( .

Its not that I want to marry a guy or have a boyfriend, I don't plan on doing something unIslamic but I can't willingly marry and put a girl in jeopardy, I just want to be honest.

In this case, u can ask your parents to postpone it for some years, in the meantime may be you will back on track..........

OP, take things slow.. Don’t marry yet if you can’t face being with a girl.. It’s not fair on her or you.. You need to sort out all those feelings in your head first.. Hope things work out ok for you in the end..
