islamically no one needs to know...in fact once u've repented there is no need to tell anyone anything about your sins. i dont care 2 know about my husbands past as long as he treats me well, we're happy, and he's repented and vowed to Allah nvr to do it again ...there is no need to know about things that he has done b4.
I think bringing up your past 2 ur spouse about past gf's/bf's only makes one feel insecure. they feel like they are constantly being compared. I know I would therefore i rather be naive.

In all such threads, a picture of the two should be included. Otherwise it is kinda hard to tell if you are ugly or attractive.

dude most of the time arranged marriages are like gambles....
I like to think positive and know that for most normal people, if their spouse treats them with respect and is loyal, and also finds them attractive both of them shouldnt worry about things like cheating on each other and stuff..
also it is the present that matters dont kill yourself worrying over what her past was u will never be happy that way.

agree…i have a friend who isnt a virgin. she had an arranged marriage with this terrific guy. she asked him once…why dont u ever ask me about my past. he said that he doesnt ask because he doesnt wanna know..he sees her as being perfect and thats all that matters to him.

I should say it is on person to person what meaning they take out of a word. Like for some people dating means going out and having sex and for some it just means going out, having chit chat, dinner and maily get to know the other person by talking to him/her in person without the presence of any family member and friends.
So if someone has a BF or GF doesn’t mean they have gone all physical and stuff, maybe they just have a special friendship.

Were you promiscuous despite having two girl friends in the past? Why are you judging her so harshly (without even knowing her) when you yourself have a past? You have said that you knew your limits with your ex-girl friends. How about if this rishta gives you the same answer, that she knew her limits and didn’t do anything intimate (emotionally or physically) with him? Are you going to trust her? You need to talk to her and actually get to know her as a human being before passing judgments on whatever she did in her past. Who knows, maybe your friend got his facts wrong. It is possible.
As for your family wanting a beautiful princess for you, I think you should develop a spine and tell them that you want to talk to her and seriously consider her for marriage purposes IF that is what both you and the girl would like to do.

Look man, stop beating the bush, you’ll never know the answer to this. Do you honestly expect a girl to tell a potential rishta that shes been down on a guy before or what she got upto? And likewise a guy is unlikey to disclose if he’s got his hands dirty in the past. Who cares if your friend said she had a bf. Why did he bring this issue up, something from her teenage years? Hes probably a jealous fart that you’ve got a chance with her and trying to dampen the rishta. This is all speculation and gossip. It serves no purpose. The point is, you can drive yourself mad thinking about every rishta’s past relationships and you won’t get a definitive answer. Ever.
