Re: Rishta and history of physical fights
Brothers having physical fights is normal? As children maybe but as adults I'd find that quite disturbing..

Re: Rishta and history of physical fights
Last incident appeared to be years ago, and it was mentioned that it doesn't happen anymore. The topic of fights/conflicts has come up more than once...
That is key. I assume wat least 5 yrs ago. Not too bad. Haven't read whole thread.

Re: Rishta and history of physical fights
an adult whos capable of getting into physical fights due to bad temper is probably going to beat his wife as well! if he has no control over his temper, then what will stop him if hes mad at his wife? husband and wife get angry at each other often, nothing uncommon about that. but if the guy has such violent tendencies, what is stopping him from hitting her? and even if he doesn't hit her, it seems like he loses his temper quick and thats a really hard thing to deal with. i wouldn't be able to deal with someone who yells or screams even.
Rishta and history of physical fights
Op mentioned these were up until his 20s. To me that says fights during high school days. Not that it's a good sign but nothing necessarily something to judge someone in their adult hood on. I remember there were stupid fights in my high school between guys all the time, mostly amongst our huge desi population. Usually involving a girl and then everyone would form groups. Everyone thought they were tough. There were a bunch of high school rivalry fights back then too I remember. And I actually went to a good school lol. Now everyone is grown and completely out of that phase from the people I'm still in touch with, so I wouldn't necessarily be so cautious about it unless they exhibit that kind of behavior now in their 20s. If petty high school fights is all it was, don't see why it would be anything to worry about.
Re: Rishta and history of physical fights
I think if you were behaving like that even in high school it's a red flag. Means your personality is simply a jazbaati one and you were probably a moron no good at his studies so those guys aren't often successful (I don't measure success by cash btw),
If they became dignified and cleaned up, that may be fine but the underlying Ganda-pan is still there.
I met a guy once that was cleaned up and looked educated, I guess with metrosexual fashion these days anyone can look smart. I found out later he has an arrest record from the age of 21 drinking and driving. You can clean up but if you've got a Ganda mind that doesn't go away easily. He took me to a bookstore and I went cuz I love books. Turned out it was an adult book store. Can't believe it but he did and thought he was being so cool.
Ganday people will be ganday in the future. Avoid them.
It's nice that he was upfront about his history though.
