For the past many decades we are hearing the words “Pakistan is a failed country”. In the meanwhile the countries in the Middle East which were better than us have failed (Libya, Egypt, Syria and Iraq etc). This phenomena could spread to other countries in the area with the passage of time. Considering all this turmoil in the Muslim world, if one glances at Pakistan again, one sees a country having democracy (with its flaws) rising from the ashes, the country which has faced the most daunting decade of its history with resilience. If the rulers play their cards right (and take decisions taking Pakistani interests in mind) here our country can become a beacon of hope in the region.
