Such a sad news. She died a year after her husband Rizwan Wasti’s death. I feel bad for Laila.
There is no news regarding cause of her death yet. She was only 68.

I had no clue she was sick until I saw the ticker announcing her death. Still don't know what she was suffering from. Does anybody know ?
Once again the incompetent media that devote so much time and energy to frivolous Bollywood news did not keep us informed about our own artist's ill-health. Shame on them!
Poor Laila Wasti lost both her parents in a short span of time and I believe is suffering from a serious illness herself. God give her sabr.

Is this the best Express Tribune could write - bad English, least bit of information on her career and cause of death, and mentioning Rizwan as if he were still alive.

Don't worry, I will post here about her career soon. She was best suited for role of queens and played that role in Shaheen (Queen Isabela), Aakhri Chattan (wife of Changez Khan), Pukaar (wife of Alfanso). She also played queen Victoria, Jodha Bai, Chand Bibi in long plays produced by PTV Lahore. She was a good writer too and her last drama (as a writer) was 'Parsaa' based on Bushra Rehman's novel from Hum TV.
Who is Laila wasti? Maria wasti? The last time I saw Tahira w was in Doraha playing adman Siddiqui mom. Innal ilahi.......wa rajoon.
