Verizon has two choices, be threatened of the #2 spot by sprintnextel or buy sprint and become #1 again - and there is nothing wrong with that.

I personally don't see it be approved by the FCC, but who knows.

seriously though, I doubt VZ or VZW would be too interested in both Sprint and Nextel. Way too much red tape.

VZW would have to pay a $ 1 billion dollar break up fee to set a rift between the Sprint-Nextel deal in progress.
