Ring carrier

I’m getting engaged in a couple of weeks Inshallah, and will also be giving my fiance a ring. Now I’m wondering how best to present it? Have someone bring it in decorated thali of some sort? So that I can take the box off open it and give the ring? Or a ring cushion - but they are usually made for 2 rings?

What did you do, or what would suggest?

My thoughts are:

a) Get a nice gold plate/tray and place a piece of pink velvet (my theme is pink), ruched up in the center and place the ring box on top?

b) On a gold plate/tray covered in rose petals and sit the ring box on the petals?

And who should present the ring to me? My cousin? A younger child?

Re: Ring carrier

we bought a try type of thing for my BIL's enagagement, it was simple thing u can get from shops, then with the help of ribbon's, shiny papers and stuff... decorated the whole tray in the theme of brides clothes and made initials out of shiny paper, then stick those to the tray...it looked beautiful then placed the ring box in the center. My SIL loved it!

Re: Ring carrier

thanks for the help :)

Re: Ring carrier

No prob! All the best..

Re: Ring carrier

i think you should have a cute little kid bring it in...on a tray/cushion whatever, it would be so cute! and thats what im doing for mine

Re: Ring carrier

Yeah I was thinking that but the only kid there is 2, would he be able to handle it?

Re: Ring carrier

well normally i've seen elders doing it, holdin the Rings..either ur parents or his parents... or may b sis..

Re: Ring carrier

I would say the girls ring should be presented really nicely - tray - sparkle etc etc

But for the guys ring it should be handed over by a parent to the girl and should be sitting in the box...

Just my thoughts... Congrats on your engagement.

Re: Ring carrier

Thanks :)

Yep I think your right about the tray, I'll investigate this weekend.

Those are just rings in ring boxes. Can't see a tray.

Re: Ring carrier

2 year olds can be a risk but they luk awfully sweet. Promise him whatever they like if they get it right! Hehe bribes always work. U can even keep a sweet with u n hand it when the job gets done.kids love attention n appreciation.. For security Stitch the rings loosely to a pillow and have his mum or an elder (he listens to)hand it to him only when he's supposed to walk towards u, ask an elder to keep an eye on him till he reaches u.trust me the pics will be sweet n coupled with the memories you will have of that day.. No matter how unique or elegant ur tray or desgins there are,it's just sum thing else when a kid is handing it over, like innocence handing over the keys to happiness...

Re: Ring carrier

I wanted my dog to bring in the ring but my dad was scared he'd try and eat it :(

At my brother's wedding they had my SIL's six yr-old brother open the ring box and as he did it went flying across the floor lol..

Re: Ring carrier

A friend of mine got his b!tch ..........to bring the ring..........:D

the female dog was very close to his heart...

i would personally prefer the same old simple ring box....
