as a daughter i like to what my parents rights are? it will be amazing if people reply me in the light of Quran and Sunnah

Re: Rights of Parents

You parents have the right to your love, affection, kindness, gratitude, respect. It says that all over the Qur’an…I don’t have references, sorry :bummer:

Re: Rights of Parents

Recently at a khutba, the Imam was saying that someone asked Prophet Muhammad PBUH about what his parents' rights were on his belongings/earnings, etc. Prophet Muhammad PBUH replied, you belong to your parents and everything you own and have belongs to them as well.

Re: Rights of Parents

Parents have the right that:
- kids obey them [in everything that is halaal]
- kids show respect and kindness to them
- kids support them financially if they need
- give them preference and treat their mother the best always
- when they die, pray for them
- keep good relations with their family and friends
- when they die, carry out their will and last requests

In the Qur’aan, the rendering of obedience to parents and showing kindness to them has been enjoined along with the Oneness and Worship of Allah in such a way that it appears that among human deeds, to obey the parents and treat them with respect and kindness is next only to Divine Worship.

Re: Rights of Parents

Zobbia: I'm not sure why you are asking about the rights of parents etc.?

Did something happen between you and your parents? Did they say something out in anger? What's going on?- tell us
