no, religion accords the right to marry again, according to your own choice.
& the religion, ensures independence of means to survive on your own.

so sorry to hear about ur divorce.........as far as i have read it in quran it says. that a woman must spend the iddat period if she is divorced (or the husband dies)..........the iddat period is something like 3 and a half or four months. during her iddat she shouldnot go out, nor attend parties/ceremonies. i think also she shouldnot wear glamoury clothes or jewellery (gold/silver). the instruction for a divorced women is in quran. i'll tell u the surah where u can find the information. alternatively ask someone who knows about this.

Sabriya i think if u go to the mosque and ask the imam abt it, they should b able to give u the correct information. Or ask some1 really knowledgeable in Islam.
