Since the recent scare of terrorist plot to blow up planes headed to the United States, Right Wing have actively supported profiling Muslims at the airport.

If profiling isn’t acceptable because it’s not Politically Correct, here is another idea: Put the Muslims on one plane and put the rest of us on a different one. We already know that the 9/11 Islamic masterminds performed “trial runs” on the flights they eventually commandeered and used as missiles against the Twin Towers, the Pentagon and were attempting to fly Flight 93 into either the White House or the US Capitol building—before it was brought down by passengers and crashed into a Pennsylvania field.
I now doubt that anything will bring the so-called “moderate Muslims” out from their hiding places, in order to speak against their suicidal and homicidal brethren. But, at least a few, or many, more of these mutinies might just get the airlines to step up and listen. Contrary to politically-correct opinion, profiling is a good thing—at least if you want to have your best chance of remaining alive.
It appears that if “we the flying public” are going to be safe, no one but ourselves is going to save us. The hell with political correctness! … If the airlines and our “PC” brethren don’t like it, I say “Then follow your own rules!”

A female passenger caused a commotion on a flight from London to Washington - the plane was escorted by fighter jets and landed in Boston. Then some incompetent announced to the press that the woman had matches, fluid, and had written a note about Al Qaeda. That turned out to be false, another hysterical reaction to the undeniable threat of airline terrorism. It’s long past time for the US to stop the nonsense and institute profiling at airports. We’re at war with Muslim fanatics, so all young Muslims should be subjected to more scrutiny than granny. And we should blend some Israeli screening procedures with our own.
Folks who have traveled to Muslim countries, people with criminal records, passengers who are Muslims age 16 to 45 all should be spoken with. And if the ACLU doesn’t like it, tough! This isn’t racial profiling, this is criminal profiling.
That’s where terrorism will be stopped. Criminal profiling is used by just about every police officer in this country, whether they admit it or not. The wrongheaded notion that you can’t scrutinize Muslims, even though the terror war is driven by them, is beyond dumb. It’s self-defeating and acutely dangerous. Profiling must begin now."

They make me take off my scarf and feel my hair/head whenever I go to a PARTICULAR airport. It's getting ridiculous. Is that not profiling?? Nobody else I know gets this done EXCEPT the other girl I know who wears permanent hijab. I've written to some authorities to see if anything can be done about it, doubt anything will come of it. sigh
