There were many complaints in India, true. But life went on not because ‘they are able to sustain hits’. It went on because with e-voting, accountability is a snap, and it doesnt take more than a few hours to audit a constituency, which, with all of India’s administrative faults, they have done.
In Pakistan, the biggest problem is a lack of accountability, and a lack of political will to conduct it. Reason being family mafias of the 2 status quo parties.
Sounds like you are implying that in Pakistan, democracy is taking a hit. I thought protests were a basic right of citizens?
