Re: Rigging Evidence
The point is all political parties admitted rigging and registered cases in the court, so let’s not pretend rigging is only PTI’s problem just because it’s the only party actively pursuing the suit. The PPP was officially the first party to formally kick a fuss about rigging, I’d like to think your memory will support you in recalling Bilawal Bhutto’s famous ‘Punjabi establishment’ speech where he talks about PPP stolen mandate.
A simple point which many people are purposely presenting not to understand is 400+ rigging cases from all parties suggest widespread rigging and ultimately put the legitimacy of all party government in under great scrutiny and suspicion. In a true democracy, free and independent judiciary would’ve either declared the elections null or void or ran judicial inquiries to undo the damage and punish culprit. What this anti rigging has proved that status quo parties doesn’t give a hoot about implementing the latter procedure nor the self proclaimed bastions of democracy care about supporting the cause as long as it’s raised by individual they cannot stand.
If you are going to going pull the third world country card as an excuse to trivialise rigging, then let’s just a lot of other bad things also happen in third world countries, maybe you shouldn’t act so surprised and concerned over those crimes either.
