You have 2 buckets

one 5 litre bucket
one 3 litre bucket

You have an unlimited supply of water.

How will you get exactly 4 litres of water in the 5 litre bucket?

Remember you only have those 2 buckets. no scales, no way of measuring the level of water

Answer in a few minutes

Easy fill the 5 litre bucket with enough water then pour in 3 litres of water into the 5 litre bucket from the 3 litre bucket. Try to understand what i am saying if you can, this itself is a riddle lolz!!!

fill the 5 litre bucket twice then remove 2 bucketfulls of the 3 litre one from it

Ok here we go

  • Fill the 5 litre bucket first
  • next pour water from the 5 litre bucket into the 3 litre bucket and fill it upto the brim
  • now throw all the water from the 3 litre bucket and pour the remaining 2 litres in the 5 litre bucket into the 3 litre bucket
  • Next fill the 5 litre bucket again and pour water into the 3 litre bucket (which already has 2 litres in it) i.e. the 3 litre bucket can only take one more litre which means…
  • there is exactly 4 litres left in the 5 litre bucket
