RICHEST WOMEN
**Me and my mind were at loggerheads
regarding marriage procedure
I said, Asian Women are the richest
and Men are very poor.
Argued my mind,
how could you make such a gigantic claim
I said, ask me not,
just check with the society for the blame
Women are endowed with
a life partner purchasing power
whatever men can purchase
is negligible thereafter
Acceptable to them are
anything between a soap and a car
neither a degree of their status
nor their academic degree is at par
Dowry makes them rich briefly
but this reflects the life of a poor man
and truly if they were rich
they wouldn’t have the dowry itch
From the Peon to a Scientist,
each have their own dowry scale
by the time the daughters get married
the parents become pale
Said my mind, I now understand
why so many girls are unmarried or wives get burnt
It’s the dowry givers and takers
who have made marriage a brunt
Indeed Asian women are the richest in this endeavor
for they command the Life Partner purchasing power
