Re: Richest Person in the world
Peace mur009
I got you right away ... :)
What belongs to the transient world is of no significance before Allah. The Prophet (sallallahu alaihi wa-sallam) said: "If this world were worth a mosquito's wing before Allah, He would not give a disbeliever a drink of water." [At-Tirmidhee]
Al-Tirmidhi HadithHadith 5171 Narrated byAbuHurayrah
Allah's Messenger (peace be upon him) said, "Who will accept those words from me and act upon them, or teach people who will act upon them?" When he replied that he would he took him by the hand and counting five characteristics, said, "If you guard against the things which are forbidden, you will be the most devout of men;* if you are pleased with what Allah has allotted, you will be the richest of men*; if you are kind to your neighbour, you will be a believer; if you like others to have what you like for yourself, you will be a Muslim; and do not laugh immoderately, for immoderate laughter causes the heart to die."
*Ahmad and Tirmidhi transmitted it, Tirmidhi saying this is a gharib tradition.
*Richness is a condition of the mind ... not of amount of material ...
It follows that the one who has a lot of wealth so much that is beyond his needs he will share his wealth ... The Pinnacle of Wealth is Allah and none is richer than The Rich and hence He is the Benevolent and gives because He has no need ... a person who is poor is constantly seeking ways to acquire more wealth ... this is the condition of the rich and poor ...
So it is possible for the tycoon who seeks more wealth to be poorer in his own eyes than an average man who gives in charity and lives well within his means.
We should acquire the traits of rich people by giving much in charity and being satisfied as the hadith above states ... Now yes not only are the two rakahs before Fajr are better than this whole world, but also we should understand that those two rakahs are the best investment - where we pay the price of the wing of a fly compared to the riches beyond riches we receive.
Also those who wake early to read fajr - fit into this proverb ... Early to bed and early to rise makes a man healthy, wealthy and wise.
So we sacrifice nothing ... but a bit of sleep time ... and not even that if we sleep early ...
Being content with less gives us more room to invest in what we have in order to produce more business ...
It draws another connection to that hadith in Hakim and Tirmidhi about the 5 investments - one being using wealth before proverty afflicts us ... which can only mean proper investment ....
Charity is also as stated in the Qur'an not designed to make us poor but increases our wealth and purifies it ... Using this ideas we can obtain the dunya and the aakhira ...
