does anybody know how make that rice which contains things like cashew nuts and rasins and things ?

I don't know if you are reffering to "channa mewa" which is a
very popular dish in Peshawar or "kabuli pulao".
Channa mewa has chick peas plus reaisins
kabuli pulau has shredded carrots in addition to raisins etc.
I kinda have an idea on how to make the 1st one.

im not really sdure my hubby was just telling me that he was in amsterdam one and he went to visit someone and they served him rice, which was really nice it contained many different tings like nuts raisins etc not sure if it had meat or chicken.

Ok I'll give you the recipe I know.
Keep in mind I don't know it that well.
1- Well make yakhni like you would for pulao
2- Fry onions, add garam masalas etc
3- add chick peas and raisins
From this point follow the recipe for pulao
(I actually don't know how to make pulao till this day)
So I guess you add your yakhni and rice to the fried ingredients.

I make an afghnai biryani in which i add friend nuts and carrots.i made its masala with chicken .it taste vey good...if u want the recipe tell me,i will post it.

i make one recipe without meat . in this add lot of darchini and long to the water and simply boil rice in it drain the water ,and in pan i made a bghar of zeera ,green ilaichi,long and darchini ,fry it for few min and then add raisens and nut to it ,fry them for few min and then add to boil rice.add zafran soaked in little milk to the rice and put it on dum.it will taste so good and smell very nice .and its combination with qorma goes very good,add salt to the rice when u boil them in the water.

AFghani biryani.
in this i make qorma for biryani and simply boil rice with salt and mint leaves in it .For making qorma light brown sliced onions i usually take one medium size onion for one cup rice,and for biryani of one chicken i usually take 3 or 3 1/2 cup rice.ok so fry onions and add all whole garam masala in it ( long,darchini,bari ilachi,sabut kali mirch,zeera,jaifel when onions become light brown add chicken to it and fry it until it water dried then add garlic and ginger paste like 2tbs of each to it,fry it again,then i add salt ,red chillies,dhania powder, kalimirch powder,little heldi,zeera powder, and some time i add chatt masala too,and add powder jawatri to it,fry it for few min then add lot of tomatoes( like 6 ,7 medium size tomatoes for one chiken) cutted in cubes, and 3,4 dried allo bukhara soacked in water to it.cook it until its water dried.boil rice as u boil for biryani,but add salt and leavs of podina to it,throw the leaves when the water boils .then add rice and drain its water,
put all chicken masala on the top of the rice and add 3,4 green chillies sliced and lemon juice from3 lemons ,now in a pan heat oil like one cup and fry 3,4carrots ,that cutted like french fries,now add these fried carrots to the rice ,now fry kishmish and nuts in that oil and add them to the rice.now take half cup of water and dissolve suger to it ,u have to take one spoon of suger for i cup rice.dissolve this suger in the water and add this to the oil in which u fry the carrots and rasians, this suger will give colour to the biryani.u have to cook it for few min ,then add one spoon of garam masala powder to the oil cook for 5 second and add this oil to the rice.and put it on dum on very low heat for 20 min .they will be ready.
This is my tried and tested recipe ,that my sister take from her afghani friend and its very tasty.u can ask any question if u dont understand fron any step as i dont have proper recipe for it and dont measure ingrediants thats the way my sister cook it and now i .
