She’d be visiting Russia as well. The focus in Pakistan would be the Pak-Afghan relations. And could there be some talk about the nuclear deal, being deprived of which has bothered Gen Musharraf a lot since Bush’s visit.

Musharraf is the first Pakistani leader to have visited Russia I believe?

He has been to China this year on multiple occasions.

The Pakistani government is standing squarely against any sort of puntive action against Iran.

The majority of the foreign investment flowing into Pakistan is now from Muslim countries e.g. UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait etc.

Especially during the last one year General Musharraf has almost completely revamped Pakistan's foreign policy to the point where the United States is no longer our key foreign "ally". Hence the likes of Mrs Rice are now making unannounced visits to Pakistan to seek favors and provide assurances etc, but we have moved on.
