How many cups of rice do I need for 25 people??!
How many packets of peas?
and last but not least, I only have one pot.. is there a quicker way to make chawal matar for 25 people?

I am sure there are going to be other items. I would say make 5-6 cups (std measuring cups) of rice.
I never measure peas. Just anndazza...may be 2 cups of peas will do.
Other reader may have better ideas.

Are you doing a dinner party for 25 people with a few meat dishes on the side or is this for a potluck type event? I would cook for less than 25 if it is for a potluck. Also do you plan on serving naan as well?
I think 5-6 cups of rice seems about right. I would eyeball the amount of peas, depending if you like a lot or a little.

Looks like I will go for 5-6 cups of rice and may be 3 cups of peas?!?! I can't do the eyeball measurements yet- my cooking skills are close to nothing.
Afro-- I was "volunteered" to make this for the dinner at the survival center held by our department- In fact, I was asked to make rice and beans but I have no idea how to make that so I switched it to rice and peas... I will have to make it for at least 25 people since usually homeless people come there for dinner and numbers may vary that day!

Some expert cook here hopefully can confirm, but if you need it at least for 25 people, than id up the # to about 8 cups, then 3 cups of peas should be OK, i think. Post this question in Aj Kya khaya Pkaya since there seems to be more traffic there
