Is it only for cooking plain white rice, or can we make desi style rice in it as well? Like how would you make brown rice that you first have to fry onions in oil for? Can you make plaow or biryani in it? And can you add things as you would otherwise for rice, like chick peas or frozen veggies etc

i make pulao in rice cooker ...it comes out well ..u have to first fry the onions separately and then add to the rice in rice cooker stir well few times .u can add veggies too.

Thanks. So you first fry the onions and then add that into the rice cooker..at the same time when you add the rice?

i have made pulao in it, chinese style rice in it (fried rice, without the frying) and even pasta!
