Rhythm Of Life

RHYTHM OF LIFE

Mehvish Shah

Slowly, smoothly running water in a river
Sings a soft song of life;
Starts with firstly my infant silver
Cut by a blunt knife.

It was great to be free of anxieties,
To be such a slip-shod,
Waiting for me floral territories,
I was made an angel by my lord.

As the time passed i entered my child-hood
The time when I was the most sonsy
I remember hiding in the green woods,
In studies I was so clumsy.

Then came the time I was called a teenager,
When my emotions were factitious
No more than pop and hop sounds were my treasure,
And surely I was one of facetious.

Gradually I entered my youth,
A little matured than before,
It was life’s real truth,
A time worth to explore.

Alas! I have stepped in my old age,
The autumn upon my life;
So lonely with no more courage,
And no more dream to survive!
