Re: Revolution in Pakistan; what do you expect?
Look Pakistan is never going to be a Switzerland ok. At best all it can hope for is a reduction in violence, but even that is unlikely.
Look at the size of the country and the population, plus the population growth rate. When you put lots of people in a smaller area with limited resources, there is always going to be conflict. On top of that when you add in different ethnic and religious sects, you are bound to have issues. It is human nature.
I've noticed from watching tv/news people in Pakistan have gotten into a habit of constant complaining about everything, constantly complain, complain complain.
They expect government to do everything for them! What do they think their living in Sweden? Or some rich developed country with tons of natural resources and a low population like Canada maybe?
You are in Pakistan, just be glad you even get water to drink, seriously look at places like Africa or Malawi, I mean things could be worse.
I'm not saying they should stop trying to improve, stop constantly complaining. Further all these crappy politicians and people don't come from outer space, their Pakistanis too, people who are trying to make as much money as they can while at the top. They reflect the mentality of the people, I believe most Pakistanis would do the same if they were in their situation.
Desis in general are very greedy, jealous, and materialistic in nature. Its in the genes. You can't change it. Pakistan will always be how it is more or less, a country mostly poor, full of litter, and run down, with pockets of nicely developed towns and colonies.
Why is this not true for Indonesia , Malaysia , China , Japan , Israel , they are more densely populated than Pakistan and have similar resources as Pakistan. There is something else which is wrong with Pakistan but I cannot put my finger on it.
