Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner

I’ve been reading alot of rave reviews for revlon’s colorstay eye pencil used for the inner rim and have decided after numerous failed attempts to find the perfect no smudge no budge eyeliner that can last me through the day, that I’m gonna give this one a shot. I went to Rite Aid earlier and saw that it comes in a variety of colors, but did not see a black one. Among the colors that were available are blackberry- a purpletinged black, charcoal- a smokey grey, black brown- the darkest brown/borderline black, navy, and teal. Im assuming they do usually carry black but that its just sold out. Oh, and they had cocoa too.

I think ive done the black to death now, but its just so pretty and works well for everyday and for fancier occasions too, but Im thinking the navy or blackberry could add that much needed extra little bit of oomph to my everyday look. My only concern though is that it might be a bit more like a bruised eye effect than a nice pop of color. Has anyone tried any color besides the blacks and browns? And how have they worked for you? Would you suggest them to someone else?

Thanks :bulbuli:

you cant do that once the thing has been opened! :smack:

Re: Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner

I don't use revlon but I use a greenish bluish color for my lower lids to bring out the color of my eyes. I like it. I feel black is a little too harsh and makes me look too pale if I use it all around my eye.

Re: Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner

Oh, really? Ive experimented with different eyeshadows and stuff but have always been loyal to my black liner.. I personally like the black, I feel it brings out the color in my eyes more and the stark constrast between the dark eyes and light skin adds that mystery and exotic appeal... going back to what you said though...I think im gonna give the teal a shot... it might actually work :)

PS- if you could post pics of yourself with the green liner, that'd be awesome so i could get an idea of how it looks!

Re: Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner

Yes u can!

Re: Revlon Colorstay Eyeliner

how??? its like one of those cardboard packages covered with plastic that you have to rip apart to get the eyeliner out of... not just an individually sold capped pencil..

i've used purples and teals and loved the look. purple really opens up your eyes and makes them appear bigger. i used it on my lower lid and it was a bright purple.

my cousins use a dark plum on their upper lids and it adds a pop through mascara done eyes which looks lovely. not bruised at all.

what i can't stand is when desi girls use reddish shades on their eyelids, maybe the crease fine but the eyelid makes them look like they are on meth or crack it looks sickly on any eye.

Riya sweetie, you need to read up on statutory rights. To this day, whatever i don’t like (be it clothes, shoes, makeup, whatever) i have returned, with success (none of this exchange business, i mean a full refund). If you have the confidence, be assertive with the sales assistant, and don’t act like a pushover, they know you mean business, and will let you return it.

I returned a Chanel eyeliner before. it wasn’t pigmented enough for me, so i told the assistant that i was not happy with the pigment. She snared at me, saying how can you prove it: i went to another counter, the loreal one, picked up the tester and drew a line on my hand, also with the chanel one. I showed her the difference, i got a refund, i walked out with a smile on my face, she was left with the other customers walking away too :dixsi:

(PS: let it be known that i luv chanel really, i’m a frenchie at heart)

The moral of the story:

-the customer is always right
-expensive does not necesairly mean better quality
