It’s primarily entertainment. And if it doesn’t help in above we should also stop creating TV dramas and shows, publishing stories, going to beaches and parks, etc.
I think economy has nothing to do with a mode of relaxation and entertainment for people.
But I think cinema is more than just entertainment. If proper subjects are used for stories in movies then it can be used for propaganda, creating unity among people, and show our confused common people the way out of the complex geo-political situation we are in.
Obviously, we are not talking about dances and songs. Such things are a waste of time.
