I reside in boston and really wanted to buy Kokab Khawaja’s cook book so i did some research online and found several pakistan based bookstores. I am listing them below and adding my comment on the bookstore i used. If you guys have used any of these book stores can you please talk about your experience? Also paypal doesnt operate in pakistan so most of these vendors use moneygram / western union. please talk about your experience using these services because ppl have practically scared me off from using them (money not reaching vendors etc etc)

www.urdu-booksonline.com/:
PROS: They accept Paypal and have a e-commerce setup
CONS: Website is difficult to navigate. I usually just search for a particular book using the title. Expensive!
The order placement process was smooth. I received the book exactly one month after i placed the order which is fine because it does take time to get stuff from pakistan. -

Karachi based bookstore. They don’t have an e-commerce thing set up. You basically email them the title you want and pay via moneygram, western union. -

Rawalpindi based bookstore. They have an order form which you fill out with the titles of the books you need (they have all the titles and their pirces listed). The prices are very reasonable and are in Rs. Payment is thru western union, online acct transfer, and money order.
Can you folks add any other you know and also share your experience?
