hi my skin specialist prescribed me retin A today … to be used once at night and washed off after an hour.
i read some really bad reviews about it on the internet
what do you people think??? should i use it??? plx help
GINA you reply too you know alot about everything here
P.S. i have some yuky pimples and scars too on my face
i live in pakistan…where the temperature these days is not much pleasant
and i donot go out in sun alot
If he/she has prescribed it for u're acne do as they say.. it's harmful if used for an extended time-period but one hour isn't bad. Make sure to wear sunblock everytime u step-out.
i use diana sunblock SPF 40... will it be fine???
and on the other topic i read that you are not supposed to apply it on your whole face...but he prescribed me to apply it all over the face.... so you think its OK???
btw thnx AlOT gina.......you are really a great help here :)
xoxo
oh and he told me not to use lemon and other totkas on face while applying this....
i use st ives whipped silk moisturizer .... should i continue applying it with it?? :)
If he prescribed it follow it exactly.. I however wudn't suggest using retin-A all over the face..but just the affected area's... u're using too many products at once.. and stressing urself out. Stress triggers acne as well.. follow his instructions.
DONOT use anything else on face while using this.
use a nice company lotion ONLY IF u feel its drying your skin ALOT
you can always spray rose water
and i just threw away all the potions lol my mom is relieved :D
and he said there are veeeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrryyyyyyyyyyyyyy tiny ones on your face that you cant see at the moment but they will erupt some time in future... so i guess i will stick to what he told me.
i just wanted you to guide me through this too because you are a girl and you must know how it feels to jump from being clear skin person to an acne maniac :S
Once again amor, stressing-out will cause more damage to u're skin as well as more acne. U are being treated for acne so there's no reason to panic.. do as u're derm says and follow instructions.
Don't overdo with treatments, medications and home-remedies.. one product at a time.. results won't show within days of treatment..it takes months to see visible results.
