u have a career counselor ? Aap tu nawab ho.. aap barrey log paisey waaley I don’t think I can afford one.. the one at university herself is looking for a job but lets say someone(my buddy) has 6 years of experience and some of his experience is 2-3 months of work(before the company was closed and he was laid off).. how do you manage any experience < a year.. in ur resume.. he has experience w/ 9 companies in like 6 years- all < year

he can try making a functional rather than a chronological resume.
secondly he can state that he was an independent contractor working on numerous short term enagagements since he did not want to be tied down to one company then and wanted to broaden his exposure and experience base.

and layffs are one thing, he should really try to stay at his next company for 3 years atleast to show stability.
