Are you looking for a resume or a CV. A resume does not have any info such as Date of birth etc.

Typical resume sections for someone with your background would be

Name
Education
- talk about your projects if any
-talk about your achievements

Work Exp
-If any, otherwise you can substitute things like your TA or RA experience
-Anything else that relates leadership to you

Interests:
-Should be relevant to the job. Such as computer skills. Help desk experience etc.

I could probably do better if I had your CV/resume in front but use this as a guide. Bullet points tend to work best.

i am applying to P&G and on the website it asks for a resume.... thanx for the tips HMCQ ..... the problem is that i dont have much to write in the first place

Does not matter. You just have to highlight the things you have done. So if you are an active member of a society at school you should add those as part of your resume. Talk about your accomplishments.
So say you are president of a club you could include a line like:

  • Doubled club membership in six months through membership drives.

lakin i have not been part of any society in my life i dont do anything at all helpd for charity week thats it.

well then add the helped for charity bit. Talk to your career services people in your school to help you out as well

ok i will do that when i go to my new uni lakin it doesnt start till oct and i might abit too late by that time for the internship... i guess i will have to wait

waleed: glad to see that just by being a freshman you are interested in resumes... :p

I have a question too.. is it a good idea to mention working on MSA (Muslim Students Association) board and being a member of islamic newsletter in our resume? What kind of impression it makes that student was involved in religious organizations on campus?

any input would be appreciated. :-)

state is as working as a cultural organization (people are big on diversity) or call it student organization.
