The reason behind the refernce was malafide and had nothing to do with his son becoming a lousy ASP in FIA. There were lot more serious charges against some other judges who continue to serve.
The political "bharties" continue to happen, the Sindh chief minister made hundreds of appointments couple of days b4 assemblies were dissolved. Hundreds.
I would fully support removing corruption from all spheres of public office done in good intent and applied across the board. But plz do not sell me the idea of corruption when the most corrupt are in bed with him, i won't buy that.

But have we all heard CJ Ift's side of the story? The poor guy has n't had a chance yet to put forward his case and clear some of the prevailing misconceptions about him. So until I have heard from him I am going to give him the benefit of doubt

What a tragedy for democracy if the independant judiciary isnt reinstated... Its a crime...
Benazir, just like Musharaf the dictator, would perfer her own chamcha's sitting on the Supreme court benches so as to rubber stamp her own imcompetance.

It was the judges themselves who on 20 July disregarded the constitution and did not allow the allegations the ex-CJ to be investigated by the Supreme Judicial Council (SJC). The judges seem to think that they should not be held accountable for their actions, which kind of makes them make their reputation even worse long term as people will continue to point out the original allegations, until they are disproven either way.
