Restless leg syndrome

Re: Restless leg syndrome

ok I have had enough of it... I have RLS since the 20th week.. I am very sleep deprived and I cant wait for the baby to be here!!!

Is there ANYTHING that helps with it????

I have tried tonic water, coconut water, iron supplements, daily massage, Bengay, tylenol extra strength, compression socks, multivitamins but NO HELP at all!!!

For past 13 weeks, I have slept well for two nights and I believe that was because I was high on other pain killers due to being in the ER!! Other than that, I dread nights, I cry every night in pain, and now evenings are getting worse too!! As soon as I lie on the couch/bed, it kicks in!!!

Try going to swimming pool and walk in the pool not swim but walk
that helped me A lot when I was expecting, RLS IS a sign of iron deficiency so keep on taking your iron supplements.
I have this funny sleeping position I call it RL position what you do is lay down on your back and when you feel the RLS starting fold your legs into criss cross you'll be asleep before you know it. Hubby knows that when this position is being practiced he better not wake me up or else :&

Re: Restless leg syndrome

Talk to your doctor about possibly getting requip/ropinirole and/or if it's for you

Re: Restless leg syndrome

^Nope ... requip is contraindicated in pregnancy.
besides etiology of restless leg of pregnancy is different from the usual non'-pregnant presentation.
