Responsibility Vs Dedication ...

The word ‘Dedication,’ to me, is something that you adore and work for with your ultimate like or love of that particular thing.

If you are doing something with the sense of responsibility, does it have to have dedication in that very sense I understand it? Or just performing something that you find it as your responsibilty, may not have dedication but only persistency?

How a work that is your responsibilty can affect the outcome if it is missing dedication?

Can dedication be mutually exclusive with responsibility as well?

Re: Responsibility Vs Dedication ...

nice first ever post that speaks to dedication in work in all views. so congratulations!

responsibility is not simply a superlative for dedication. it carries meaning when both are kept in view to complete work. & therefore, work related dedication cannot be mutally exclusive where responsibility lies. the two go hand in hand.

Re: Responsibility Vs Dedication ...

You can be called a responsible person with and without dedication! while if you are a dedicated person then you are automatically responsible!

**Responsibility **belongs to worker's personality! Its something related to his/her personal character, mostly its God gifted and can not be created easily without any reason!

**Dedication **belongs to Management, meaning if management provide fringe benefits and create some attractive environment at work then responsible worker can be converted into dedicated workers!

Re: Responsibility Vs Dedication ...

Agree...

Re: Responsibility Vs Dedication ...

so work related dedication can not be mutually exclusive with responsibility but can resposnsibility be independent of dedication?

why is a suitable environment a need of dedication? Why can't a dedicated person create his own environment without relying on others?

Re: Responsibility Vs Dedication ...

A suitable environment is of no consequence...When there is dedication, then responsibility automatically takes over, and with a sense of responsibility, comes action...

Who comes to mind when it comes to having the greatest dedication of all...?

Re: Responsibility Vs Dedication ...

^ exactly my understanding.

Re: Responsibility Vs Dedication ...

Aye aye, Cap'n...!

Re: Responsibility Vs Dedication ...

Dedication: something you enjoy and love so you like to participate or get involved in.

Responsibility: you may or may not like.

You can have a responsibility and be dedicated to it: example, taking care of your children.

Or you could have a dedication but be irresponsible in the process of achieving it.

I guess there are many combinations...

Re: Responsibility Vs Dedication ...

Unless you are satisfied with the job and feel safe and sound, your dedication can not be seen!
You need to have some reasons to prove you are dedicated! You are in love with the environment, or the job matches your temperament and fulfilling your goals, you own the place or it belongs to you anyhow or you are getting paid adequately!

Every thing is on sale, there are no such things called dedication, sincerity, and love!
You actually have to buy this stuff!

Re: Responsibility Vs Dedication ...

no. responsibility can't be independent of dedication. jis kaam meye aur chez meye dil aur dimagh nahi lageye, wohh nahi sahi ho sekeye ga, uncle! :>
