A Hindu should fear earning bad karma - that’s right yeah? So what things will earn bad karma? Surely those will constitute the rules of conduct and duty. Surely some of those rules involve how God is to be conceptualised. I’m relying on you to provide that information to me - I am not going to go to anti-Hindu sources to get that information - I have you to learn from so be my guru.

Hinduism does not have any “rules”. There are general guidelines/narratives/examples/schools of thought that people choose to follow. It is a collection of diverse traditions and does not have a single founder like Christianity or Islam do. A central concept of Hinduism is *Dharma *i.e. righteous behavior.
A person does not become a “non-Hindu” simply because he does not follow a certain rule.
Rules by definition have consequences for breaking those rules. Hindus chose to follow the beliefs of their religion because they believe it guides them towards righteous conduct, and not for fear of becoming non-Hindus or for having a religious diktat issued against them.
