I think you should raise the issue to your tutor, he should know better.
But even if your the only one in the class that sticks to whats right fine.
Let them do whatever they want, they will learn one way or another, as long as you do your best.

If they don’t apply the proper respect it’s up to you what you want to do, personally as, a guy, i’d kick up a right royal storm! 
i’d let them all know what i think of thier behaviour and if they try to stop me or continue to violate our sacred texts then i’d quit on them.
. But in this matter your better suited than i to decide what to do.
