Did you just replace STA?
Re: Respect for the dead
I think it's always better to be on higher moral grounds in comparison to being badtameez.

Ah yes. Infraction points for speaking the truth. That is consistent with the Pakistani mentality.

did you get the points??
Re: Respect for the dead
Its understandable that we can never feel the pain of those who lost their loved ones but the agony of torturing a dead body and showing it to the entire world isn't justified either. In my view, the worse people are the media who keep covering & showing the scenes on TV over & over again.
This reminds of Saddam Hussain's death; his hanging was like an all day TV event.
Nusrat Bhutto - Agree with both the points .. she didn't deserve the 'madar-e-jamhooriyat' but she wasn't as horrible as she is being tagged every where as. There were some very insensitive comments on face book saying her biggest fault was giving birth to such a Bhutto clan & belonging to one. God is a better judge of such actions, no matter how much we claim it .. we don't know much of the truth either!
Re: Respect for the dead
I was rather appalled to see Gaddafi's killed that way and being dragged on streets when on last breath, both as a Muslim and as a human. It was hailed as a victory for people of Libya (which I am sure to an extent it was) but the brutality shown was not something pleasant. I can assure you this much, media would not have played it this many times had it been a shavez or some other dictator killed like this.
I also totally understand that it is unimaginable for most of us how libyans felt about Gaddafi.. whose dear ones were killed by Gaddafi forces.. They wanted revenge and they wanted a closure. But I am really surprised that even NTC left the corpse for public exhibition in cold storage. At least bury the man according to muslim tradition as it is between God and him now.
Re: Respect for the dead

Nah. I am too close to be being banned for 6 months. If I do get points I would have to literally insults someone's mother and all.
Re: Respect for the dead
If Abu Lahab , Abu Jahal , Yazid , Hujaj Bin Yousuf , Mir Sadiq , Mir Jaffer and many others can be called by bad names then why Gaddafi , Saddam and many modern day villains be spared of same fate.
It is not like their name will go in the history books in golden letters.
Re: Respect for the dead
I agree with CM, minus his stars ![]()
All these situations involved innocent people being dragged in streets. Gaddafi, is no where near being an innocent man, so in my mind he got what he deserved. Like I said in the other thread, I’m not sure what the world expected in the capture of Gaddafi. Who should he had been handed over too? So who would call the final word for his execution? I am 100% sure if he hadn’t died at the hands of these rebels he would have died in the hands of someone else.
We sometimes have to make room for exceptions.
Re: Respect for the dead
Now this is wrong. To be proudly claiming that you killed Gaddafi as if it’s a heroic act is a shame.

Re: Respect for the dead
people in these countries have lost their senses. they are blind and they cant smell their own death. all the knowledge, and information they possess is nothing less than a donkey carrying a load of books without knowing the precious value of them. these nation get the treatment of a dog and they also treat others like one too. it is not just the people, its also the ruler who they chose to rule over them. its a dog eating dog world and these countries perfectly fit on this.
these so-called nations portray the entire world that they are Islamic Republics and they are the best. but the fact is not only they are worst Muslims but also the worst humans. just to gain a penny profit they will create a mountain of lies, hypocrisy, injustice, cruelty, killing in the name of pathetic honor.
they haven't learn anything from Karbala, and they will never learn from the treatment of 2 hafiz-e-Quran sialkoti brothers. history will be keep repeating itself unless we change our self.

To be honest that is kinda retarded. I agree if I did get points for every time I cursed I would be banned for years. Thanks for the context I get the comment now and I apologize for my snarky retort.

Re: Respect for the dead
i dont believe that just because someone was evil...that it justifies us or anyone else being evil right back at them...I whole heartedly believe in the following quote by Martin Luther King Jr.
"I mourn the loss of thousands of precious lives, but I will not rejoice in the death of one, not even an enemy. Returning hate for hate multiplies hate, adding deeper darkness to a night already devoid of stars. Darkness cannot drive out darkness: only light can do that. Hate cannot drive out hate: only love can do that." -Martin Luther King Jr
it is a very deep quote and this appeals to my personal philosophy.... i dont care what path someone else chose to walk during their lifetime...but I will not stray from mine and mine teaches me to be nonjudgmental to be humble...to realize that I am no better than anyone else... to realize that only good/only love can eradicate evil and hatred....it teaches me that if for example gadafi being a human could be evil...i could have been too...and if i let myself justify the way he died by saying that he was an evil person I am in effect allowing myself to become like him...and I refuse to let that happen.
if we start justifying our actions by point fingers at someone else's actions...we'll get nowhere and we'll most certainly be no better as humans than those we point fingers at....you cannot control someone else's actions but u can control your own...just because someone else strayed and went over to the dark side it does not justify me straying from my own path
just because we feel he was evil does not make the way he died any less appalling
Re: Respect for the dead
Just saying........if half your family disappears, your friends are shot in the head......... i guess the morality and spirituality would take the back seat probably..

Nomi paa....indeed it could happen but I feel it could happen only if you let that happen...and only if you forget that there is a higher being that will give you justice so you dont have to...and only if u forget the benefits of forgiving and leaving everything to God...
kabhi kabhi emotions ko side pe rakhna acha hota hai because an emotional decision / reaction is always the worst kind...one should strive to not let anger, revenge and hatred especially cloud our judgments and make us forget our morals, values, and teachings of our creed
