Respect for Quran-e-Pak

I have to agree with everything…

I partially agree with those who are saying that we need to have respect for Quran in the hearts…

The reason I would partially agree is because they are saying it in order to refute or answer with disagreement against the points:

  • keep it clean and up above on a high clean place.
  • keep it covered with its cover.
  • read it when you are clean personally.

Their counter argument, because of the context they are arguing, gives the reader an impression that you do not care about keeping the Quran in clean and high places… ‘Respect is in the heart’ argument is faulty because with the same token, go ahead and start arguementing with your parents without showing respect with your action and keep uttering that ‘respect is in the hearts’ …

Unfortunately, I have witnessed Arabs showing the most disrespectful act with Quran as a book… I have seen people putting under ther legs while sitting in Riyaad-ul-Jannah in Masjid-e-Nabawi:saw2:

I read a narration about a sahaabi :razi: who used to pick up Quran in his hands in the wee hours during Tahajjud time and used to cry uttering the words with all his beard wet with tears: Haadhaa Kalaamun Rabbi that is This is the word of Almighty

By rejecting the initial post on the basis of argument that ‘respect should be in the hearts’ we are assuming that the poster did not mean to respect the Quran with heart and that poster did not mean that Quran should be followed… while infact it is clearly mentioned in the very first post…

You can read Quran without wudu without touching it because it is allowed but ask yourself a question… should we try to remain in the state of wudu all the time… Why or Why not? Keep in mind the famous hadeeth about the incident of Me’raaj when Prophet:saw2: mentioned that he heard the sound of Bilal:razi: walking before him on the heavens and the reason noted in that hadith was that Bilal:razi: used to be in the state of wudu all the time …

As for rights of Quran, scholars have stated 5 main rights that we have upon Quran… one of them is to read it in abundance and mind you there are some narrations which state the minimum recitition in a year and that is to read it twice in a year… Therefore, the initial post is truth as per my knowledge…

For the major references from what I have said before someone start questioning me, please go ahead and take some time out and listen to atleast the INTRODUCTION TO QURAN in urdu by Dr. Israr Ahmed from this link:
