Respect for Quran-e-Pak

keep it clean and up above on a high clean place.
keep it covered with its cover.
read it when you are clean personally.
read the Quran in a clean place.
recite it slowly and follow all its hypenations in Arabic.
learn the translation of what you read in it.

& for the rights of Quran-e-Pak:
recite it with translation, at least twice a year.

share what you know about respect & rights Quaran-e-Pak.

best,
Dushwari

Re: Respect for Quran-e-Pak

JAK.

its interesting as just the other day, I was reading an article in Islamqa where they said that you can indeed read the Quran in an un-clean state, as long as one's careful in not touching the actual scripture.

Re: Respect for Quran-e-Pak

Pinks, right. escapes ...as to what is unclean.
Allah swt made a woman's body as is. no?
since the body is undergoing discomfort, of course the body is given rest by not physically praying. otherwise, noone can deny women their prayers and recitation of Allah swt's letters.

there is no rule, kali billi.

the last one, is perhaps a hadith.
i will find its source and try to share here.

i hope you agree that Quran-e-Pak is to be read regardless of how many times. no?

ji Baji, their arguement was that we are given clear order to abstain from praying and fasting during certain days of the month, but none with regards to simply reciting the Quran. This was with regards to a women's monthly cycle and post child birth. As for husband/wife relations, then they are not allowed to even recite what they remember untill they cleanse themselves.

Re: Respect for Quran-e-Pak

yeah i agree that it shud be read as many times as u can but twice a year im not sure so plz share the source :chai:

and as long as unclean is concerned u can recite quran even in ur time of the month u just don thave to touch the book

dear Pinks,

clinically/ medically, the same blood, can give rise to a human baby. & who bears the pain for it all - women. as for spouse intimacy relationship, that is a separate issue.

cleanliness is about intent in attention which one is ready to give to recitation of Quran-e-Pak.

does this make sense?

Re: Respect for Quran-e-Pak

Read it with proper tajweed
Understand it
Reflect on its meanings
Act upon its teachings
Teach it to others
keep it covered with its cover.
Im not sure what you mean by cover, but if you mean like a nice fancy cloth to wrap it in, thats really just a desi thing. It is far better to read, understand, reflect and act upon the Quran than just wrap it up all pretty and keep it on a high shelf

May Allah help us to give the Quran its proper place in our lives and hearts, Ameen

Re: Respect for Quran-e-Pak

Mashallah , nice sharing. I will just add one thing.
Live it, in other words try to live your life as Quran teaches us.

 1. would you ever pray for dirty room, or would you like to/ prefer to wear dirty clothes?
 2. would you like your veins, and organ to be unveil?
 3. mind, heart= no monafqat…and physically cleaned
 4. where you wont lose your sense
 5. well she meant recite it slowly so every word penetrates in you
 6. she said at least twice a year

Quran is a gift to us from ALLAH SWT, and it is his blessing on you (specifically) if you recite it daily, cuz many cant!

Re: Respect for Quran-e-Pak

Jazakillah khairun sister Dushwari and midnighteyes.

Kali Bili....do you know Arabic?

Re: Respect for Quran-e-Pak

From what I have heard Arabs are more "lenient" with the Quran, i.e., they dont' bother with covering it or putting it on a high place.

i think both having respect for it AND acting upon it, reflecting onit and teaching others are both important.

Re: Respect for Quran-e-Pak

Oh thanks Dushwari ..for sharing .....

JAK

Re: Respect for Quran-e-Pak

yeah i know arabic

but all the things u have shared i dont agree with most of them cuz they r just cultural things :chai:

Re: Respect for Quran-e-Pak

Kalli billi ... you know for your self .. that Islam revolves around Quraan ... so somethig such as this which is so valuable .. a word of God ... wudnt you protect it etc all the above .and basically ..whats the harm in it ...if you do do all the above .... .???

Re: Respect for Quran-e-Pak

yeah alhamdullillah i know watever is written in there so yeah i respect my religion alot

but wats the use of wrapping it in and putting it on a high place wat good will it do to u ??

wen u dont read it and dont know wats in there but u wrap it in a fancy cloth and say omg i respect this book thats y am doni it

if u wanna respect quran then try to rea it and know wat is written in there not wrap it and put it on a higher place

:chai:

Re: Respect for Quran-e-Pak

yeap i agree on the issue .. that . a person dunt read it but just wraps it up and just has it placed in some high place ....

but .... what the issue here is that ..a person should understand it and and respect it at the same time by placing it in a high place ..because that s just a sign of respect ....anything which deserves respect ....is automatically raised to that status .... and the metaphorical sense of high status is that its placed in a high place ....i dunt know ... lets say you have a picture of your parents and a picture of someone you love out of the family ..its just out of common respect tat you aint gonna hang your parents picture lower than the other person cos you have more resppect for your parents than the other person ...not that you dunt have any respect for the other person ..but its just different levels of respect ...

so in a similar way ... anything be it Quraan or anything else ...its givien the status it deserves ....but i definatly agree ..where ppl have the quraan in their houses just for show and never read it in their entire life ...

Re: Respect for Quran-e-Pak

i think if u wanna show respect then try to know and walk on that path no respect can be greater than that thnk u very much :chai:

and wat cleaning r u whining about ppl??

how dirty r ur homes??

only place quran is forbidden to be read is washrooms u can recite it at any place and anytime

any1 tell me how to make slices in photshop im stuck :crying:

anyways :chai:
