Resolutions Passed In NA & PA

Resolutions passed in NA and PA are they binding in any way? Is there anyway any assembly that passes any resolution can be held accountable and punished in anyway if no action is taken from respective authorities?

Re: Resolutions Passed In NA & PA

Can be either binding or non-binding. Some constitutional issues require resolutions to be passed for certain scenarios, which are binding. Most resolutions, however, are mere 'opinions' of the house and non-binding.

Anything that is in favor of people of Pakistan is nonbinding. Like resolution to end poverty, providing basic health and education etc etc.
Anything that is in favor of politicians is binding like increase in pay, security for politicians etc etc.
PA and NA are UNGC for us and UNSC for them :/

Re: Resolutions Passed In NA & PA

Not that it matters in the least bit, but there is a resolution, and there is legislation. Legislation is binding, and not following that becomes a crime. Whereas resolutions are a dime a dozen, and are meant as eyewash.
