Could Anyone direct me to sources where I can get articles + detailed information about a Tech company like RIM. I have looked at their website, I need More information though. I have gone through the regular websites and then Business Week etc. Any suggestions?

Also if anyone would know where to search for Print ads?( I have seen the website that usually comes up as world’s best print ads)

Do you have access to library catalogs and databases through an educational institution? If you do, then I'd recommend the following sources:

  • Business Source Complete (EBSCO)
  • ProQuest Databases, especially the Canadian Business & Current Affairs (CBCA) and the ABI/Inform databases.
  • SEDAR (annual reports, financial statements, and press releases from Canadian public companies)

A couple of years ago, I helped in writing a business case study on RIM and I did most of my research using the above. You'll have ample information about products, finances, success stories, news/media coverage, adverstisements from newspapers and trade publications etc.

How do you get specifics...like if you are looking for Market Segmentation..
The Target Market,the demographic of them..Thats what is hard for me to go through all of the articles. The Success of Their Advertising campaigns. Mostly for that I am getting blogs for their latest ones but I am more interested in their overall history, the impact their product had.How they cornered the market with their products.
