There is already a thread in PA about this.
media has become a politics tool in both the countries.
does pakistani media highlight that last month indian marines rescued 6 pakistanis from somali pirates and those people are still in mumbai awaiting a response from their govt.
also two weeks ago an indian paid diyat of few pakistanis and rescued them from gallows in UAE. does it get any highlight in pakistan.

sadly when people of both the countries work together then govts pay no heed.

PS. I for one dont care if our govt paid the ransom or not. we need to make a “no negotiations” with policy like america but do stuff behind the scenes. If we pay them ransom today then they will demand for it tomorrow. already we have about 100 somali pirates captured and our navy patrols the somali waters. they have rescued many ships so far. we need to deal with them with iron hands.
