**You all are requested to offer your condolences to our senior member Frozen Fire on the untimely demise of his beloved Aunt . **
May God bless him and his family during this time and always…
I just went through the most tumultuous time in my life, something similar, though not as complex but my mom was also on a ventilator for a few days, and that was really hard. Things looked very bleak at one time, but I never lost heart and had faith, and things turned out to be better. Dont loose heart brother, she'll do fine inshallah!
latest news : We called Montreal tonight to find out about her latest position. According to my cousin, he said that Doctors discovered that she has started to develop cancer in her liver.. and it is spreading in other parts of her body. They started the chemotherapy 2 days ago to stop the cancer from spreading.. doctors basically lost hope and said this treatment is the last hope of her recovery..if it didnt workout well then they'll have to take off the life support. It's a 10 day treatment and 2 days have already gone by with no luck.
Her elder son was crying like hell.. he said that the condition she is in right now is just very hard to see.. she's in a lot of pain and he said he dont wanna sign the papers that says that u could take off the life support if condition goes this serious.

How's ur mother now bro?.. i can understand how hard it is if any family member of yours is in hospital for any reason.. life seems so blank and there seems to be no reason of living.. I've gone through this myself when my mom had a heart transplant 3 years ago and we had to live without our mom for more then 4 months... it was really hard for us to actually let our mom go to operation theater knowing that the success of that operation is not very high.. but we did not loose heart and had faith in Allah. It took her a while to recover. T here was a time after her surgery at hospital when she had problems with her memory and going to a coma was the possibility... but alhamdolillah after 4 hard months ..she was finally back home. During those 4 months , me as well as my 2 siblings and father missed her a lot everytime we used to go to kitchen to cook something..and ofcourse at different times.. alhamdolillah shes home now and we dont let her do much work becuz only now we understand her importance.
Please take extra care of ur mother and try to understand the cause of her problem and provide better treatment earlier on, so that she never get that problem again.
anyway bro...please keep my khaala in ur special prayer. I've had such good childhood memories attached with her.. i just cant imagine what my cousins would be feeling right now...
Oh,may she wake up to a healthy, new morning and may Allah grant her quick recovery and may Allah also give you and your family the courage to get through this difficult time,Ameen!

FF, what you and your siblings must have went through during those 4 months, I can relate to, and is the most difficult time ever. There is no one in the world like your mother, seriously. We often take everything for granted, and when something like this happens, its only then we realize the importance of mothers. Everything that I ever did that might have hurt my mother, from making a face if she cooked something I didnt like to something that I might have bluntly said to her, was all coming back to haunt me in that time she was not doing so good.
The whole thing caught us offguard as medically she was in great health, but turns out that she had gallstones and the infection affected her lungs at the time of the surgery. The doctors and nurses werent looking very optimistic when they first moved my mom to ICU and they hinted to us that we shouldnt be discouraged if there are more complications because of her condition at that time. Hearing that was very painful. However, my mom is doing great now, shes back home, and made an exceptional recovery and despite the fact that shes ordered to rest, she got up early at the time when I usually get up for work, to make sure I have breakfast. Mothers are mothers, afterall, even in such a state all shes concerned about is whether I ate or not. God bless them all! Makes me really sad as to what your cousins are going through right now, and I hope they have the patience to get through this difficult time inshallah. Do give them tassali whenever you talk to them, I think it helps.

Like FF said, to all my friends here on GS, take care of your mothers and keep them happy! Make sure they go twice, or thrice for a full medical check up every year to make sure theres nothing wrong, health wise. It really helps if something is discovered before it gets worse.**
