Apart from the major universities, which are the other good colleges for continuing studies. I know of Seneca and Humber - any others?

Re: Reputable Colleges/ Educational Institutions in Toronto
Add Centennial and Michener Institute - and that's pretty much it for the Community Colleges...
There are other Private Colleges like Toronto Business School, CDI.
When you say "Reputable", what specific field of study were you thinking of?
Re: Reputable Colleges/ Educational Institutions in Toronto
Thanks, I've checked out Centennial, George Brown and Sheridan ... for some reason I always hear people talking about Seneca though.
Umar, I'm looking into the business sector, so you say this CDI is good? I'm on their website now.

For Business Courses, have you looked into Continuing Ed / Distance Ed through the Universities… this may be the best route to go…
However, if you really wanted to, then for Business Programs, Seneca would be my first choice followed by Humber
Re: Reputable Colleges/ Educational Institutions in Toronto
I just finished my Business Admin Diploma at Centennial College and it was certainly worthwhile. Those who did co-op certainly have an edge over the remainder of us. However, those without co-op have also been quite successful.
Besides, given that I applied to all three universities in Toronto, I've had no trouble getting accepted and having my credits transferred over.
Re: Reputable Colleges/ Educational Institutions in Toronto
That’s good Sadiyah. Were you able to get a job after that?
Why are you two bouncing around? ![]()
Umar, I have just pmed you.
Re: Reputable Colleges/ Educational Institutions in Toronto
cat-woman, I was easily able to get a co-op placement; however, due to a number of personal reasons I had to drop out of co-op. I'm not looking for full-time work at the moment, as likely if all goes well I plan on transferring to university this September, insha'Allah.
I work at the co-op & employment office on campus right now. They're extremely nice and helpful people. They help out students quite a lot even after graduation with job search and the like. Given that I personally work there, I know the student advisors and the office itself gets a lot of calls from the prospective employers looking to hire Centennial College grads. In addition, if you see the employment advisor, they can either hold your resume and forward it to prospective employers, or they can contact you when someone of your interest comes along.
Other than that, CampusWorkopolis is hooked up with the co-op & employment office. The students who sign up get relevant jobs delivered to their inbox.
Btw... these services are quite standard across most colleges and universities in Ontario.

Thanks Sadiyah, that's really helpful. What are you planning on doing at university - is it in the same business field?
Re: Reputable Colleges/ Educational Institutions in Toronto
Np.
I have applied for Accounting, Management, and IT Management for majors in business. However, I haven't yet made up my mind.
