^Completely depends on the consequences of one's actions. If it's going to get you in heaps of trouble, don't do it. If I can get away with stealing candies in a store, you bet I would and that's as far as I'd go. :D I would not dare steal office supplies or shoplift in a department store.

I gave you example of that man eater Jeffery Dhamer too. 
And I have worked in a retail store of a big US chain , I know they have surveillance cameras and plain clothes security at random times . People get caught stealing a few dollar worth of candies all the time by those plain clothes security guys and gals.

^I don’t steal candies from a department store. I do it in a grocery store, you know where they have testers :D.. I guess it’s not stealing then.

My daughter loves to go to Sams club where they give you tasters of things every weekend. That is not stealing.

Well, I don't exactly do that either. If you go to meijers or like a produce store, they have an open candy section. You are not really supposed to take any for tasting purposes. You are supposed to put them in a shopperbag and buy them. I stand there like a dumba$$ picking from each box and eating it like it's my baap ka store. I have never been approached by store employees.
