If a post in inappropriate than what do you think mods will do about it? Give an award to the poster?

Depends on the post, if it is inappropriate then it gets deleted. Maybe you should pm the mod of the forum.

When a post is reported it is reviewed by the moderator(s) of that forum. If they find it inappropriate then action will be taken...if not then it will be left alone.
If you find that a reported post has been left alone and you feel strongly that action should have been taken.... pm the mod(s) (as lusi mentioned) and give them your reason for why it should be edited/removed.

Yeah, it's easier if you send a pm as well as reporting the post to the moderators of that forum so we take action on it quicker. =]

Sometimes action isn't taken because "bad posts" options are emailed to our accounts some of which we don't check.. .

Which means you mods need to update your email addresses in your GS profiles and put the ones which you check at least once a day if not more. If you dont check your emails often then whats the point of having that report post icon.

also, sometimes that action is not taken cause the "bad post" is really not a bad post. Just because a member thinks that certain post is a bad post does not make that post bad.
many o times, members just to get even with another member or out of personal grudge, report a post. Moderators, if dont see anything wrong with the reported post, can ignore that reporting and dont take an action
