Well I was addressing ravage here who seems to be thinking we are "acommodating" non-Pakistanis/muslims by not either booting them out or removing their threads if they are not to the Pak populations liking - according to him anyway. This stifling culture has been a problem for Pakistan for too long in my view. Making happy noises won't change anything.
Well, the very problem we have as a country and nation that we've only promoted a culture of booting out those that we don't like or find different from us. Ahmadis, Bangladeshis, even Partition (in certain aspects) are prime examples. In simplistic terms, it's like bunching together all the like minds and say things that are in mutual agreeement and feel good about ourselves.
^ In such cases of circle jerks, the dissatisfaction can only be attributed to impotency of ideas.
Well it's not the impotency of ideas, rather the typical reaction of crushing those ideas we don't like. I don't want to get too far from what we're actually talking about at a national level it hasn't worked out all that well has it?
I see I've been convicted in absentia of being incapable of talking about uncomfortable issues.
Firstly, I did talk about it. My reference to the article was through my response to it, since I didnt want anyone to think that Im screaming cos I dont know what else to do. I was screaming cos I was angry that someone would post that gem merely motivated by spite for Islam, and not with any genuine desire to debate. I had my response in there, and even tho several of the supporters of this abomination of an article were online, NOBODY responded for a great deal of time.
If the article was supposedly making such unanswerable points, why werent you more vocal when it was around?
Arent you the ones who seek political incorrectness in the cleric's pleas for the hostage's life? You seem to take offense pretty quick when your beliefs are believed to be sinful, yet you do not understand that its highly offensive to have your prophet labelled a murderer in a matter of factly way.
As for the suggestion that i believe non pakistanis/muslims should be booted out or removing their opinions, one of the only reasons I post here is because of the non pakistanis/muslims. We 'accomodate' them (or atleast attempt to) by being careful about topics discussed, or atleast the manner in which they are. Which might be a good thing, if you're consistent and apply the same protection towards Muslims here. Islam, by far, takes the most crap on this forum.
Ravage brother! I totally understand what you wanna convey. I found that article offensive too. But i can understand admin's position too. Though their reason is different of allowing such debates or comments but i have my own view.
Islam teaches us to be tolerant of other religions and so we should be. I will agree again on one more argument of yours that on this forum, bulk of the criticism is pointed at Islam. Now, we can look at it from two perspectives, either we flatly refuse them and become hot-headed in response to such posts or we calmly answer such comments through proper research and references. That is definately going to help US as muslims. Regarding the other person, we can say that we tried out best and its upto them to weigh up the arguments.
Islam has taken a lot of flak through some mindless twisted terrorists, now its upto us to increase our tolerance level and show non-muslims the real tolerant, flexible and welcomeing face of Islam.
Regarding that Article, its totally bigoted and baseless. I have not read your answer to it yet but i assume you have tried your level best to answer it logically. Now its upto the poster to take a neutral and unbiased view at it and judge for him/herself.
I hope i made sense up there.

What sort of protection are you talking about? I still don't understand what you mean by saying we are careful about topics bending over backwards for non-muslims. Anybody can post what they like within reason there aren't any special rules for anyone.
